Saudi Arabia: Axle of Evil

saudis-fund-terrorism-cartoon.jpg

Containing the scourge of Islamist terror will be impossible without containing the ideology that drives it: Wahhabism, a messianic, jihad-extolling form of Sunni fundamentalism whose international expansion has been bankrolled by oil-rich sheikhdoms, especially Saudi Arabia. That is why the newly announced Saudi-led anti-terror coalition, the Islamic Military Alliance to Fight Terrorism, should be viewed with profound skepticism.

Saudi Arabia has been bankrolling Islamist terrorism since the oil-price boom of the 1970s dramatically boosted the country’s wealth. According to a 2013 European Parliament report, some of the $10 billion invested by Saudi Arabia for “its Wahhabi agenda” in South and Southeast Asia was “diverted” to terrorist groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba, which carried out the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.  Read More

Pentagon Not Dancing to Nero’s Fiddle

According to Seymour Hersh’s latest expose, some elements within the US military began tacitly cooperating with Assad two years ago after becoming concerned with Turkey and Saudi Arabia’s support for Sunni extremists.

In a new 6,600 word piece, Hersh details what he says was a covert plot by the Joint Chiefs of Staff to undercut the “Assad must go” line promoted and pursued by the Obama administration and the CIA on the way to sharing valuable intelligence with the Assad government. The report also verifies the role of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and especially Turkey in arming and financing al-Nusra and ISIS.  Read More

Get a job, ya dirty bums!

Ontario’s profligate spending government, the Liberals, has come up with a novel approach to paying down the obscene level of debt the province has run up of late. They’ve taken to panhandling asking for citizens to voluntarily donate their tax refunds for next year to the cause.

After all:

…there have been so many unexpected costs lately. The gas plant scandal was supposed to cost $230 million, but that ended up being closer to $1 billion. The smart meter program ended up costing $1.9 billion, more than twice the original estimated cost. And then there’s that $9.2 billion in extra costs for the Green Energy Act. Money just seems to be flying away, and we’re not talking about wind turbines here.

So look into your heart. Forget about the Syrian refugees or the Salvation Army this year. Skip your annual United Way donation or whatever cancer or heart foundation you usually give to. Those guys don’t know the first thing about crippling debt or borrowing beyond their means. They’re actually required to have balanced operating budgets. Pffft.

No, it’s time for Ontarians to band together and bail out our country’s biggest charity case: The Ontario government.

We say if Premier Kathleen Wynne’s so concerned with paying down the debt, maybe she shouldn’t be so eager to run it up.

But that kind of screwball thinking is why we’re bloggers, not politicians.

Breastfeeding is so last week, now it’s all just chestfeeding

manbreastfeeding

Taki’s Magazine’s Jim Goad on the latest fad, female to male transsexuals who breastfeed “chestfeed”:

Huffington Post, that digital safe space for menopausal liberals in the early stages of Alzheimer’s, ran an article a few weeks ago titled “The Troubling Erasure of Trans Parents Who Breastfeed.” Without a hint of a wink, the article states that the notion that “gender is tied to biology” is an “antiquated belief.”

Because of course just because she has a vagina, just gave birth, and is lactating, doesn’t mean she’s not a real, honest-to-goodness manly dudebro, you evil bigot.

Harvard’s Christmas dinner crib sheets

stressed-christmas__large

Harvard University has made and distributed placemats with leftist talking points, perfect for students to use to wreck Christmas dinner by starting stupid political fights.

From the Daily Caller:

Harvard spokeswoman Rachel Dane told Campus Reform the placemats were deliberately intended to shape the conversations undergraduates have with their parents.

Another Harvard representative, assistant diversity dean Emelyn de la Peña, insisted the placemats do not constitute indoctrination despite presenting only a single point of view as correct.

This is very disappointing. We would have thought Harvard students were better than this.

I mean, if you can’t even memorize your talking points for annoying Uncle Frank, what kind of annoying leftist brat are you?

Lazy, lazy, lazy…

Now, after being mocked in certain corners of the press, Harvard backpedaled, no doubt worried more about potential loss of alumni donations and prestige than because they actually regretted their idiot indoctrination placemats.

Barbara Walters needs to get out more

And maybe meet some new people while she’s at it.

Barbara Walters declared Bruce Caitlyn Jenner the “most fascinating person of 2015” in an ABC TV special on Thursday night.

bruce

“Through her own transition, Caitlyn Jenner transformed society this year,” Walters added at the end of the special. “And that, for us, makes her the most fascinating person of 2015.”

Not really, Babs, but one supposes when you live in a celebritard bubble it might seem that way.

Read the rest at Breitbart

PS: not to get all catty or anything, but according to TVLine, Barbara’s special was roughly 1/3 as fascinating as an episode of The Big Bang Theory, which is to say, “not very.” And she’s down 29% from last year’s “most fascinating” special.

Oops.

Hillary: Trump is ISIL’s Best Recruiter

images 8.51.44 PM

… But fails to mention that she ran the operation to supply them with weapons.

Hillary Clinton accused Donald Trump of becoming Isil’s “best recruiter” during Saturday’s Democratic presidential debate in a fierce condemnation of the Republican front-runner’s call to ban all Muslims from entering the US.

“They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists,” she said. “So I want to explain why this is not in America’s interest to react with this kind of fear and respond to this sort of bigotry.”

SJWs seriously don’t get satire

bill_leak_aid_a_la_mode

The latest SJW kerfuffle in Australia relates to the above cartoon by Bill Leak, which they say depicts poor Indians as being too stuppid to know solar panels can’t be eaten, as opposed to, say, rich Westerners being too stupid to realize poor countries have more pressing concerns than renewable energy.

Theodore Dalrymple gives his take over at Taki’s Magazine:

The reaction to the cartoon, however, was indicative of what one might call the will to outrage. This will precedes any object to which it might attach, and many people wait as if in ambush for something to feel angry about, pouncing on it with leopard-like joy (the leopard, so I was told in Africa, is particularly dangerous, for it kills for pleasure and not only for food).
